From the Sevilla heat to the cold Stockholm. The passion for R. Betis knows no logic or borders. In whole Scandinavia, with the help of Betis´s Swedish Supporters Club, celebrate the return of the Andalusians to Liga BBVA and the homecoming of the more popular face of the club: Joaquin Sanchez.
"We are very pleased to support our team from this land. We love the club and traveled a few times a year to see the games live" said Pablo Lizama, president of this fan club that was born in 2007 and thrives, mostly, with Swedish, and Spanish immigrants. "We have no seat in any city though the board of the club is split between Stockholm, Gothenburg and Orebro" he commented.
In one of the coldest areas of the planet, they say that the Betis heat serves as a distraction and to follow Spanish football more closely. More even since the promotion, with which they have noticed that more and more people are interested in the "verdiblanco" team.
The last meeting between the Betis fans of this Club was just days ago, on the occasion of the match against Real Madrid. "The match was not a success, but it was our meeting. People came from all over Sweden and that means a lot to us", said excited fans from the Scandinavian country. There also will follow with expectation the Joaquin’s homecoming, who they hope to visit on their next trip to Spain.
