FC Barcelona will close 2014 at the Camp Nou against Córdoba CF in the 16th round of Liga BBVA fixtures. The Catalan outfit drew 0-0 last time out against Getafe, and they will look to close the gap on league leaders Real Madrid to just a point with a win.
Córdoba will be looking for a repeat of their upset at San Mamés against Athletic Club and record their second win of the season to move away from danger.

After getting the medical all clear, Neymar Junior is back in the squad, which has everyone available except for long-term absentee Vermaelen. The Andalusian outfit, meanwhile, have no such issues.

Despite the fact Barcelona are favourites, boss Luis Enrique showed caution when talking about their opponents: "Córdoba can do us harm on the counter, with Ghilas or wide men such as Fidel and Borja".
Counterpart Miroslav Djukić highlighted his side's desire to show their abilities: "They have a great squad. We are going with every hope of competing and we will see how we measure up against one of the best teams in the world. I’m expecting Barcelona to have a lot of the ball during the game".
