COOKIES POLICY

Users are hereby informed that this Website uses first-party and third-party cookies.

1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small data files generated on the user’s computer that allow the user to store information generated by their online activity. Cookies allow LALIGA, among other things, to store and retrieve information about a user’s browsing habits or their device and, depending on the information they contain and the way the user uses their device, they may be used to recognise the user.

First-party cookies are sent to the user’s terminal equipment from a device or domain managed by LALIGA and from which the service requested by the user is provided. Third-party cookies, on the other hand, are sent to the user’s terminal equipment from a device or domain that is not managed by LALIGA, but by another entity that processes the data obtained through the cookies.

The Website uses session cookies, which collect and store data when the user accesses and browses the Website, and persistent cookies. Persistent cookies remain stored on the user’s terminal so that the data collected may be accessed and processed for a period defined by the party responsible for the cookie, which may range from a few minutes to several years.

2. The cookies we use according to their purpose

a) Strictly necessary cookies

These cookies are necessary for the website to function and cannot be disabled in our systems. They are generally only set in response to actions you take when requesting services, such as setting your privacy preferences, logging in or completing forms. You can configure your browser to block or alert you about these cookies, but some areas of the site will not work. These cookies do not store any personally identifiable information.

b) Targeting cookies

These cookies may be implemented through our website by LALIGA or our advertising partners. These cookies are used to create a profile of your interests and show you relevant advertisements on other sites. This profile is based on the unique identification of your browser and internet device. In this regard, we inform you that the cookies we use serve the following purposes:

  1. To personalise advertising campaigns;

  2. To create anonymous browsing profiles;

  3. To display advertisements that match users’ preferences;

  4. To measure the performance of advertising campaigns;

  5. To re-identify users browsing first-party or third-party websites through the advertising identifier of each device. The advertising identifier is pseudonymised data that does not directly identify the user browsing the Website, although it may make them identifiable in conjunction with other information available about them;

  6. To share the user’s session data with other entities such as Clubs, Sponsors and Media Agencies of third-party entities for the purpose of offering the user personalised advertising about their own content.

IAB Europe Transparency and Consent Framework (TCF 2.2): Notwithstanding the foregoing, those third-party targeting cookies that adhere to the IAB Europe Transparency and Consent Framework[1] will not be included under section “B. Targeting cookies” and will instead be categorised according to the following TCF 2.2 purposes:
