Valverde is December's Best Coach in LALIGA EA SPORTS

Ernesto Valverde has been voted as December's COACH OF THE MONTH in LALIGA EA SPORTS, a distinction awarded by LALIGA together with Microsoft. The sobriety in the management of the dressing room and in his decisions, so characteristic of the coach from Extremadura, has seen Los Leones end the year in 5th position after a spectacular first part of the season.

Athletic achieved three victories this month, all three at San Mamés, beating Rayo (4-0), Atlético de Madrid (2-0) and Las Palmas (1-0), without conceding a single goal. Their only away game in December was a draw against Granada (1-1).

Valverde therefore wins his first LALIGA EA SPORTS Coach of the Month trophy, beating Míchel (Girona FC) and Ancelotti (Real Madrid) in the voting.
