CD Tenerife has not had the best of starts to the Liga Adelante, with only two points from a possible 18, but both the Canary Island club's players and management team are confident that they can turn things around.

The team's record since its return to the Liga Adelante, after two seasons in the Segunda División B, is two draws from six games, However, despite a lack of good results, the Tenerife outfit has felt good about all of its matches.

In particular, the players will be focusing on the style of play and the clear ideas from their manager in order to find reassurance for its next encounter with Real Madrid Castilla on Sunday at 18:00. “We will give everything, nobody can be hesitant”, commented Aitor Sanz, who was sent off in the last match.

Similar words came from Raúl Llorente, who claimed that both he and his teammates are thinking about “winning no matter what”, confirming that victory is the only thing on their minds. Another of the Tenerife players to provide an insight was Suso Santana, who backed up the feelings of his teammates: “We think we are going to achieve our goal. We are fully confident that we are going to stay up”.

For their part, players such as Íñigo Ros and Borja, made it clear that the players “are not going to throw in the towel”, after the club's efforts to return to professional football. A victory over the Madrid reserves, who are currently propping up the table, would provide a three-point boost to the team which came to the Liga Adelante with the intention of establishing its place there and later aiming much higher.
