Real Madrid CF, the Liga BBVA leaders, host a visit from Rayo Vallecano on Liga BBVA matchday 11. The Whites, who have strung together seven victories, are looking to maintain their hot streak and stay at the peak of the table. They will face a Franjirrojo side who need to bounce back from two consecutive defeats at the hands of Málaga CF and SD Eibar.
Team news
The Madrid side will be without the injured Dani Carvajal, Fábio Coentrão, Sami Khedira, Asier Illarramendi and Jesé Rodríguez. Rayo, for their part, will be missing goalkeeper Toño Martínez who has a torn biceps femoris in his left thigh.
Views from the dugout
Real Madrid's manager, Carlo Ancelotti, praised his opponent: "We have to be careful because Rayo are fighters and they play attacking football. We know they play with intensity and we have to focus on this match".
For his part, Paco Jémez, stated that his team are hoping to play their best football in the Santiago Bernabéu. "The plan is the same as always, to play football and compete as well as we can against an opponent who have a lot of quality. It is very satisfactory for us if our people are able to enjoy this derby".
