Rayo Vallecano saw off Levante UD 4-2 in matchday 25 of Liga BBVA. With this vital win, the Madrid side now have 29 points and sit in 10th place. The Valencian outfit, meanwhile, are in 18th with 22.
Despite the fact the visitors scored first thanks to Víctor Casadesús’s effort, the home side managed to turn things around completely thanks to Alberto Bueno’s memorable performance. The Madrid-born forward scored four goals between minutes 23 and 38 of the game to make it 4-1. Bueno also became the first Rayo player to ever score four times in the same game in Liga BBVA.
Despite this, Levante did not give up, and fought to cut the deficit during the second half. Víctor Camarasa went close, while David Barral hit the post before they got their reward in the 85th minute through Kalu Uche. Rayo held on, however, and the three points stayed at the Estadio de Vallecas.
