LALIGA launches the 'Player Care & Engagement' project, a strategic initiative driven by the Player Office with the aim of continuing to advance in the comprehensive support of footballers and the professionalization of support structures within clubs. The project is designed to accompany LALIGA EA SPORTS and LALIGA HYPERMOTION clubs in the creation, consolidation and evolution of structures that contribute to improving the experience, adaptation and support of players and their entourage throughout every stage of their sporting career. Among the areas addressed by Player Care are support during arrival and adaptation processes, family accompaniment, internal coordination between sporting and business departments, the management of player activations, personal and professional training and development, as well as the improvement of communication channels with footballers.
As part of the project's launch, LALIGA held its first LALIGA Player Care & Engagement Meeting this Wednesday — a gathering that brought together representatives from LALIGA EA SPORTS and LALIGA HYPERMOTION clubs alongside international professionals and experts in the field of player care. The meeting saw the participation of representatives from RC Celta de Vigo, Valencia CF, the Premier League, Newcastle United and other professional clubs, addressing matters related to family care, internal coordination, crisis management and the strategic role of Player Care within clubs and competitions.
During the event, some of the tools and strategic lines that form part of this new vision of player support were also shared. In this context, the Players app plays a key role as a digital environment connecting performance, services and communication in a personalized experience for the footballer. The application accompanies the player before and after matches, allowing them to access all their multimedia content, understand their performance and enjoy services and benefits. Beyond the technology itself, the Players app represents a new way of engaging with the footballer — closer, continuous and personalized, combining the digital environment with the in-person experience to generate real value both on and off the pitch.
This initiative is part of the new chapter of LALIGA's Player Office, led by former professional footballer Roberto Jiménez. With the launch of Player Care & Engagement, LALIGA reaffirms its commitment to developing increasingly professional and specialized structures in player care, championing a comprehensive vision of the footballer both on and off the pitch.
