The 2025 UEFA Nations League enters its decisive phase with a thrilling semi-final line-up: Spain face France, while Germany takes on Portugal. Beyond the sporting spectacle, the prominent presence of LALIGA EA SPORTS players—who contribute both quality and experience—underscores the league’s status as a hub of elite competitiveness and footballing excellence.

The most anticipated fixture is Spain vs. France. The reigning champions of both the Nations League and the Euros reached the semis after a dramatic penalty shootout win over the Netherlands. France also advanced via penalties, overcoming Croatia.

Spain: LALIGA EA SPORTS in its purest form
Luis de la Fuente’s Spanish squad is built upon a strong core from LALIGA. Key players include Unai Simón (Athletic Club), Robin Le Normand (Atlético de Madrid), Dean Huijsen (Real Madrid), Martín Zubimendi (Real Sociedad), Dani Vivian and Nico Williams (Athletic Club); as well as a Blaugrana contingent of Pau Cubarsí, Pedri, Dani Olmo, Fermín López, Gavi and Lamine Yamal (FC Barcelona). One standout return is Isco, who has been recalled after a stellar season with Real Betis, marking his first international appearance in six years.

France: French flair rooted in Spanish football
Didier Deschamps has called up several LALIGA-based stars. Loïc Badé (Sevilla FC), Clément Lenglet (Atlético de Madrid), and Real Madrid duo Kylian Mbappé and Aurélien Tchouaméni will all represent Les Bleus. Their involvement highlights LALIGA’s role as a leading platform for world-class talent.

Germany: Experience and excellence from LALIGA bolster Die Mannschaft
Julian Nagelsmann’s squad includes Marc-André ter Stegen (FC Barcelona), who returns after six months out with injury to bring leadership and composure to the German team.
