For the first time in their history and with a complete display of football, quality and stars. That was how Valencia CF conquered the 19th La Liga Promises International Tournament in Arona (Tenerife), organised by the Larguero Foundation and promoted by the Liga de Fútbol Profesional as part of its LFP World Challenge.

The side coached by Joaquín García defeated Atlético Madrid 1-3 in a vibrant encounter involving the youngsters who, in just a few years, will become the stars of the football world.

In addition to the champions, there were some individuals that shone in this 19th tournament. The Tournament Top Scorer was Theo Zidane (Real Madrid CF), Atlético’s shot-stopper Miguel was named Best Goalkeeper, and Valencia player Óscar Doménech received the prize for Best Player. His coach Joaquín García, meanwhile, received the prize for Best Manager from Vicente del Bosque.

Juventus and Japan’s Kashiwa Reysol showed their appreciation for being invited to take part in the tournament with a gift for the LFP and the Larguero Foundation. Attendance was also a huge success. Over 6,000 people assembled at the Antonio Domínguez Stadium in Arona to watch the flashes of brilliance offered by the stars of the future in the Liga Promises championship.
