Real Betis 1-0 Zaragoza CFF

The Andalusians kept up their fine recent form and showed that, despite having sealed survival with time to spare, their hunger remains well intact. Not for the first time this season, some Paula Moreno magic proved the difference-maker, as the young forward tilted the balance in her side's favour with a scorching drive from outside the box with 20 minutes left on the clock.

Valencia CF 0-1 FC Barcelona

Las Azulgranas' European dreams may be over, but their domestic hopes are alive and kicking, with the destination of the Liga Iberdrola trophy very much still in their hands. A hard-fought victory away to Valencia ensured that Xavi Llorens's troops can wrap up the title by beating Atletico next week. Marta Unzue was Barcelona's hero at the Antonio Puchades, reacting fastest to a corner and flicking the ball past a wrong-footed Christiane Endler at the near post to clinch three massive points for the Catalans.

Athletic Club 3-2 Rayo Vallecano

The Basques bounced back following a run of three straight defeats, displaying all the character and quality that made them champions last term. The manner of the win will have made the result all the sweeter, with Leia Zarate's stoppage-time strike – a rebound after Vanesa Gimbert's penalty had been saved – securing the spoils in dramatic fashion. Damaris Egurrola had earlier handed Athletic the advantage at Lezama, before Natalia Pablos turned the scoreline around with a second-half double and Irune Murua made it 2-2.

Oiartzun KE 1-1 Real Sociedad

It was an atmosphere befitting the occasion in Gipuzkoa: not just a local derby, but a crucial fixture in the hosts' bid to stay up. Indeed, the place was absolutely rocking when Marina Agoues smashed Gari Argote's team ahead after a quarter of an hour and they looked to be home and dry until Leyre Fernandez popped up to equalise in the last minute. The draw leaves Oiartzun a point above the all-important bottom two, while the San Sebastian outfit stay seventh.

Levante UD 4-0 Santa Teresa CD

Following two heavy losses on the spin (to Valencia and Atletico Madrid), Andres Tudela's side got back to winning ways in style. While Ida Rebecca and Levante's top scorer, the Mexican hotshot Charlyn Corral, both bagged braces, the star of the show was undoubtedly Maitane Lopez, who ran riot. The victory keeps Les Granotes, whoare determined to finish the campaign on a high, comfortably in fourth place.

Sporting Huelva 2-2 F. Albacete

Albacete were left ruing Sporting's resilience after seeing a two-goal lead evaporate in Huelva. Efforts from Maria Arranz (32') and Alicia Muñoz (38') had put the visitors on course for a win that would have propelled them out of the relegation zone, but the Andalusians came out with renewed purpose after the break and earned themselves a share of the spoils courtesy of goals from Cristina Martin-Prieto and Sandra Bernal.

UD Tacuense 0-0 RCD Espanyol

This stalemate in Tenerife means that it is 'as you were' in the finely poised battle against the drop, with all four of the teams involved drawing this weekend. It was an evenly matched encounter in which neither side created much of note, with Espanyol going away the happier as they remain two points clear of the bottom two.

Atletico Madrid 3-0 Granadilla Egatesa

The prolific Sonia Bermudez delivered the goods again, on this occasion striking twice to fire title-challenging Atletico past Granadilla and back level on points with Barcelona with two matchdays to go. Carmen Menayo, who put in a superb performance both at the back and going forward, grabbed the other goal.
