Real Madrid need to turn it around at the Bernabéu

Real Madrid were unable to take a positive result from their UEFA Chmpions League semi-final first leg game 

with Juventus after losing 2-1 in Turin. Álvaro Morata and Carlos Tévez scored for the hosts, while Cristiano Ronaldo scored Madrid's goal, cancelling out Morata's opener.

 

Madrid struggled to get into the game thanks to a tough display by Juventus, who went out to press their opponents from the off, refusing to let the visitors breathe. Morata was the first Juve player to fire a warning shot, attempting to chip Casillas,tapping in he rebound after Casillas saved Tévez's shot. Madrid slowly settled into the game and started to take initiative, equalising in the 29th minute thanks to Cristiano Ronaldo. Madrid continued to improve and could have taken the lead before the break, but James' header hit the bar.

 

The Italian side made a good start to the second half and retook the lead when Tevez scored from the penalty spot after going down in the area following a challenge from Dani Carvajal. The goal stabilised the Italian champions, so Ancelotti threw on Chicharito in search of an equaliser, but it was no use and now Madrid will have to turn things around at the Estadio Santiago Bernabéu.
