Promises History: Córdoba CF’s debut

When the club returned to the Liga BBVA for the first time in 42 years, the academy received the best news. It would be one of the teams to take part in the XXII LaLiga Promises National Tournament, a unique for the club’s Under-12 players who would get the chance the face the best sides in a prestigious event.

Just like SD Eibar, Córdoba CF made their debut in the tournament full of excitement and along with a good number of parents who showed endless support for their children during the first day. Even the president Carlos González wanted to be there for the players on the first day.

Although the side began nervously, and lost to FC Barcelona, José Manuel Rodríguez’ side managed to beat Elche CF, lost against Málaga and drew in the last group stage against Levante UD, which was enough to see them qualify for the round of 16.

Antonio, Salvi, Ángel, Óscar, Rafa, Marcelo, Juan, Alejandro, Hugo, Ama, Álex and David showed that objectives can be met with effort and work.
