The countdown continues to the event in which the best players in the Liga BBVA and Liga Adelante will take to the field on Monday 29 December at the Vicente Calderón Stadium (7 pm CET, La 1 de TVE). Why? To play in the most important game of the year: 'Champions for Life'. The line-up for this charity encounter is rounded off in style with the two managers, José Antonio Camacho, who will lead the East Team, and Milinko Pantić, in charge of the West Team.

LFP.es spoke exclusively to Milinko Pantić on what it means to take part in the 2nd Champions for Life match, which is raising funds to help combat ebola. "For me, it’s a privilege to be involved in this project and to be selected by the Liga de Fútbol Profesional and UNICEF to be a part of this initiative. The important thing is to help as much as possible and for there to be more occasions like this to raise awareness on these diseases".

Pantić, an Atlético Madrid icon during his spell at the club, spoke of the high standard of all the participants and urged fans not to miss the big footballing celebration: "Just looking at the two squads, as a football supporter I’d want to be there. It’s an impressive line-up of Liga BBVA and Liga Adelante players. And tickets are very cheap: for 20 euros a whole family can watch the game".

Milinko also wanted to thank the 66 stars who will take to the field: "The players are idols to children and they have thrown themselves into this game". He also stressed the significance of the encounter that will be held on Monday at the Vicente Calderón: "It’s one of the most important games of 2014. I hope it will remain in the memories of everyone, because in 2015 we have to continue to do things to help".
