Even though they demonstrated quality football in their challenge against Deportivo Cali, Malaga CF weren´t able to taste victory in their first match of the LFP World Challenge tour. Now, the Andalusian squad will attempt to redeem themselves and demonstrate their undeniable quality in their next game of LaLiga World, in which they will confront historical Argentine football like that of Club Atletico San Lorenzo de Almagro.
Estadio Pedro Bidegain will be the luxurious scenario for this exceptional match between the standing champions of the Copa Libertadores and one of the most outstanding clubs in LaLiga, which will kick off at 8.30 pm local time (01.30 am in Spain).
"It´s an honor to be here having the opportunity to play against a rival of the stature of San Lorenzo. We have studied our lesson thoroughly thanks to the Argentines we have on the team and we are excited to be here and continue with our training for the season", affirmed Malaga's coach, Javi Gracia. "We are still in the pre-season preparation process and have a lot of improvement to make, but we have time to do it", the blue-and-white team's coach added.
One Argentine player on Malaga's team, defense Marcos Angeleri, also assessed the game: "We want to leave a good impression, obtain good results and try to do it in the best way possible so that these types of matches serve their purpose. That´s the mentality we've come with". The trainer for San Lorenzo, Edgardo Bauza, on his part affirmed that he will confront the duel with "a very good team" and is confident that will "make for a great match".
