The data highlights that Real Betis are the leaders in aerial duels and crosses, while Sevilla FC are top for passes in the attacking zone, first third and overall passes completed.

The match comes at a very exciting time of the season with everything still to be decided. To highlight this, LALIGA has launched a special campaign with a piece showing "The Power of All" with fans and images of different teams, simulating a breath of tension and uncertainty to represent where everything is at stake for the team.

The Beyond Stats portal is part of the joint LALIGA and Microsoft advanced statistics project. The metrics are obtained thanks to the Mediacoach platform, which is supported by machine learning and artificial intelligence technology from Microsoft Azure. More than 3.5 million pieces of data are collected per match thanks to the 16 optical tracking cameras and three tactical cameras in each LALIGA stadium.

Who are the key players in each team and how do they stand out from the others? The analysts from LALIGA's Mediacoach team uncover the key characteristics of both sides in ElGranDerbi at this stage of the season based on data from the advanced statistics project:

Real Betis are coming off the back of two consecutive wins, the most recent against Valencia CF (2-1). Manuel Pellegrini's team are seventh in the standings with 48 points; just three points shy of sixth place.

The Verdiblancos have picked up more points at home this season than away. Eight of their 12 wins to date have come in front of their own fans.

Real Betis have opened the scoring regularly this season, and only failed to score in six out of 32 games. They are also one of the five teams in LALIGA that have opened the scoring in the highest percentage of games.

Manuel Pellegrini's side set up in a fairly long block, both on and off the ball, and are the second in the league in terms of depth. They also operate with plenty of width, and the sixth widest in the division, although this figure has dropped in recent matches.

In terms of efficiency, Real Betis' effectiveness in their own area is particularly noteworthy. Pellegrini's side are ranked third in the league in terms of chance avoidance.

Real Betis are generating plenty of finishing opportunities this season and are ranked fourth in the league in terms of shots. They are also the eighth best team in terms of conceding fewest shots and their goalkeepers have the fifth highest save percentage in the competition. Of Real Betis' 11 clean sheets this season, seven have come in home matches.

Real Betis are among the seven best teams in the competition for scoring the most goals from corners and free kicks, bagging nine goals so far.

In terms of players, Isco Alarcón is key: he has the most passes in the final third, the most dribbles, the most crosses into the box, the most assists, the most shots and the most high-impact actions for the team, excelling in competition in many of these metrics. Isco has six goals and three assists. On a physical level, Isco stands out as the Real Betis player with the greatest distance covered at high intensity (21km/h+). In addition to all this, Beyond Stats highlights him as player of the matchday: he's the player who has created the most high-impact actions in the entire division, i.e. actions that create a goal-scoring chance for his team. These can be passes, beating a player or carries which lead to a chance on goal.

Willian José is the team's top scorer with 10 goals. He's also Real Betis' top assist man with three assists alongside Isco.

Ayoze, who comes off the back of a brace against Valencia, is the team's second top scorer along with Isco on six goals. Defensively, Ayoze is also the Real Betis player with the most recoveries in the opposition half and is key when Betis are pressing.

Argentine centre-back Germán Pezzella is ranked Top three in the championship for completed clearances and leads Real Betis in blocked shots, recoveries and aerial duels won.

Sevilla FC are also coming into this game on a positive note, having won their last three fixtures (Getafe CF, UD Las Palmas and RCD Mallorca). Quique Sánchez Flores' side have climbed to twelfth place in the table and are now 12 points clear of the relegation zone.

Away from home, the Andalusians are now putting up good numbers, having lost only one of their last six away matches.

Cumulatively, Sevilla FC have the highest number of crosses and have taken the third highest number of shots in the competition. Before Quique's arrival, the team created plenty of chances in the final third but lacked effectiveness in front of goal. Under Quique, Sevilla FC have had third fewest shots in the league, but have the sixth fewest shots needed to score, unlike before his arrival.

Sevilla FC are ranked third in the competition with the most goals scored from wide positions, with 22 goals netted in this way.

Since Quique's arrival, Sevilla FC have conceded the third most shots in the competition. However, the team has been solid in the box, with the third most blocked shots in the league and their goalkeepers have recorded the fourth highest save percentage.

Sevilla FC have, along with Real Madrid, scored more goals from corners than any other team in the competition: nine in total.

In terms of players, En-Nesyri stands out as Sevilla FC's top scorer this season with 12 goals.

Moreover, home-grown player Isaac Romero has scored four goals and completed three assists in the second half of the season. Since his breakthrough in the first team, Isaac is the Sevilla FC player who has scored the most goals and made the most high-impact actions.

Meanwhile, Ocampos is the Sevilla FC player who has completed the most dribbles, links up with teammates in the final third and shoots the most. He has four goals and two assists to his name this season.

The team's top assist providers are Pedrosa and Suso with four assists each. Suso has the highest number of crosses into the box and the most passes that lead to shots.

Sergio Ramos is excelling defensively this season for Sevilla FC. El Camero is in the competition's Top Four for blocked shots, Top Nine for clearances and leads Sevilla FC in recoveries and aerial duels won.
