Zinedine Zidane named Liga BBVA Manager of the Month for April

Zinedine Zidane (Marseille, France, 1972) has been named Liga BBVA Manager of the Month for April, thanks to Real Madrid's imperious run of results during the calendar month.

Six wins in six games in which Los Blancos notched 18 goals and only conceded four provide concrete evidence of the outstanding job that the Frenchman performed in April. The six victories came against FC Barcelona (1-2), SD Eibar (4-0), Getafe CF (1-5), Villarreal CF (3-0), Rayo Vallecano (2-3) and Real Sociedad (0-1), which saw the club make up considerable ground in the title race on their way to finishing second in the standings at the end of the campaign.

The Frenchman is clearly enjoying his first season as a Liga BBVA coach, as shown by his first manager of the month accolade which is awarded by BBVA, the competition's main sponsor, and voted for by the LaLiga.es writers.
