Youth is the keystone for Villarreal CF 2015/16 season’s project, in which the club from Castellon wants to establish itself as a contender for the European places and improve the last season results.
The club has chosen to begin a renewal of its squad in order to improve the performance of the team and their signings are a clear commitment to the future. The most significant movement has to do with the attacking line. Villarreal has signed two of the most promising players of Málaga, Samu and Samu Castillejo. Both players curdled a great season in the Andalusian side that did not go unnoticed for Villarreal managers. In addition of the strikers from Málaga, the Brazilian Leo Baptistão, on loan from Atlético de Madrid, has arrived to the team alongside Areola, a promising goalkeeper with whom Marcelino Garcia Toral has a substitute for Asenjo, out through injury.
And things could have not been better for the team during the preseason. They haven’t lost any of its matches, counting all as victories but the draws against Gimnastic and Derby County. Excited about what's to come, Villarreal hopes that the good summer feelings can move into the season that is about to begin
