Perseverance paid off for Karim Yoda as his double earned three points for Getafe CF as they downed Real Sociedad 1-2 in matchday eight's final game in Liga BBVA.
Sarabia went close and had the first chance of the game following a throw-in from the left, but the ball whistled wide. Then, with Real looking unable to handle Getafe's play, Fredy Hinestroza tested out Eñaut Zubikarai in the home side's goal, but the game was 0-0 at half-time.
During the second half both sides worked harder and created more chances as they sought a win. The home side looked for Carlos Vela in attack, while the Madrid side played on the counterattack. The Basque side’s academy graduate Pablo Hervías made it 1-0 just moment after coming on as a substitute thanks to great play between Sergio Canales and Vela, but Real were not able to hold on, with Karim Yoda giving his side another win with two goals in stoppage time.
