- With six games to go, La Real remain well within reach of European qualification. However, they will need to improve their form if they are to avoid missing out, having won just one of their last five games (D1 L3). Tightening up at the back will be a priority, as the Basques haven't kept a clean sheet for two months.
- Eusebio Sacristan's men will be seeking to turn Anoeta back into a fortress, having struggled there as of late. Although they claimed three points in their last home match, this came after collecting two draws and two defeats in their previous four outings in San Sebastian.
