CD Mirandes 1-1 Getafe CF

The first LaLiga 1|2|3 game was played at Anduva and ended with the two teams taking a point apiece. Getafe opened the scoring with a Dani Pacheco penalty in the second half. The home side were not to be disheartened though, pushing their opponents hard and raising their game before levelling the scores. It was Iker Guarrotxena who got ahead of the defence and made it 1-1.

UD Almeria 1-1 Cadiz CF

The first Andalusian clash of the season provided the second draw of the matchday. It was an evenly matched first half with chances for both sides. Fernando Soriano's team should have taken the lead, but there were to be no goals until after the interval. Alfredo Ortuño opened his account for Cadiz and put the visitors in front. With the result going against them, Almeria reacted and Ramon Azeez equalised just eight minutes later, finding the back of the net on 69 minutes.

AD Alcorcon 0-0 SD Huesca

The game at the Santo Domingo stadium ended goalless. There was some good football on display, but neither side could score and the first points contested in Alcorcon were shared. The Saturday evening encounter was a highly physical one. Huesca seized the initiative early on, but the game ended as an even contest. Despite an array of chances, the match ended 0-0.

Elche CF 2-1 Rayo Vallecano

The Martinez Velero hosted a game featuring goals, chances and excitement. Elche managed to take home the three points at the end of it, but they did not have it easy against a Rayo side who took the lead – Patrick Ebert making it 1-0 to the visitors. The home team did not take long to reply, overturning the deficit with goals from Josete and Javi Matilla, the latter from the penalty spot.

RCD Mallorca 0-1 CF Reus

This was CF Reus's big debut in LaLiga 1|2|3. A long way from home, the Catalan outfit were in for a tough test. But nothing is impossible in football, and Alberto Benito stole the show in Mallorca, scoring the winning goal for Reus. The visitors were forced to play with just 10 men from the 58th minute onwards.

Cordoba CF 1-0 CD Tenerife

The evening's LaLiga 1|2|3 football ended with a victory for Cordoba at the Nuevo Arcangel, where the Cordoba and Tenerife fans were treated to quite the football spectacle. The Andalusian outfit secured their first three points of the season thanks to a goal from Alejandro Alfaro. The goalscorer spurned the chance to make it 2-0 from the penalty spot in the second half.

CD Numancia 0-1 Levante UD

A 60th-minute strike from Levante's Jason was enough for the Granotas to claim victory in their league opener. Despite the Numancia starting lineup featuring a host of their exciting summer signings, Jagoba Arrasate's men were unable to treat the home faithful to a win. To further compound their misery, the Rojillos ended the game with nine men after both Marc Pedraza and Unai Medina received their marching orders.

Gimnastic 2-2 CD Lugo

It finished honours even at the Nou Estadi, as Nastic and Lugo served up a pulsating 2-2 stalemate in their Matchday 1 encounter. An Alfonso Pedraza strike edged the Galicians ahead, before Joselu extended the visitors' advantage from the spot, as Luis Cesar Sampedro's charges looked to be cruising to victory. However, the Catalan outfit turned things around after the break to steal a point courtesy of an Ikechukwu Uche penalty and a last-gasp Alejandro strike.

Sevilla Atletico 3-3 Girona FC

Sevilla FC's second string and Girona played out a thrilling draw at the Sanchez-Pizjuan, as both sides got their LaLiga 1l2l3 seasons up and running. Despite the Andalusians racing into a commanding 3-0 lead, Pablo Machin's men finished strongly and staged a rousing fightback which began on 70 minutes when Ruben Alcaraz gave the visitors a glimmer of hope. The Girona winger was at it again minutes later to further reduce the arrears, before Samuele Longo fired home from a corner to complete the comeback.
