Match Facts:

Malaga (14th, 23 pts)

- Morale at Los Boquerones (the Anchovies) has taken a battering lately: they are winless in nine league games and haven't triumphed on home soil since November. Even though they still have a seven-point cushion over the relegation zone, they need to get that winning feeling again soon if they are to climb up the table and keep their season alive.

- The head-to-head stats make pleasant reading for Marcelo Romero's men: the club is unbeaten against Las Palmas in LaLiga Santander action at La Rosaleda (W2 D1).

Las Palmas (12th, 28 pts)

- Los Pio-Pio – so nicknamed after the cry of the canary – have plummeted in recent weeks and head to La Rosaleda bidding to bolster their terrible record on their travels this term. The islanders have only won once on the road this season, which was a 4-2 victory in Valencia on the opening weekend of the campaign, 182 days ago, and have lost all but two of their other LaLiga Santander away games.

- Quique Setien's side have suffered back-to-back 1-0 defeats to Andalusian opponents, away to Granada CF and at home to Sevilla FC. These results have dented their European hopes and they are gunning to get back on track this matchday.
