Team News:

D. Alaves: Zouhair Feddal (injured)

Granada CF: Dimitri Foulquier, Matthieu Saunier and David Lomban (all injured)

Match Facts: Alaves (13th, 6 pts):

- The promoted team will be looking not only to secure their first home victory of the campaign, but in the process to put paid to a winless run against their opponents this matchday: two of the last three league meetings between the sides ended in draws, while the other one went Granada's way. All of those fixtures came in LaLiga 1|2|3, as the clubs have never faced one another before in the top flight.

- "I'm expecting a very tasty affair in which we'll be raring to get the win for our fans." This was Mauricio Pellegrino's battle cry ahead of the game.

Granada (19th, 2 pts):

- "Alaves are a team who defend well and in numbers, but we have what it takes to cause them problems," said Paco Jemez in the build-up. The Granada coach also made a point of praising his players' attitude: "The lads are working harder and better every day."

- The Andalusians are hoping both to kick-start their season and to end their recent away-day blues. They have only won one of their last seven competitive encounters on their travels (D2 L4), and that was a 4-1 victory over a distracted Sevilla FC side at the Sanchez-Pizjuan in May.
