Who was he? Thomas Christiansen Tarín (Copenhagen, Denmark, 11/03/1973) was a Danish born, naturalised Spanish striker who played in the colours of FC Barcelona B, Real Sporting de Gijón, CA Osasuna, Villarreal CF, among other teams in the Liga BBVA and the Liga Adelante.

What is he remembered for? For making his debut with the Spanish national side while he was playing for FC Barcelona B in the Liga Adelante. Christiansen made a name for himself in the 1992/93 season with the azulgranas, scoring fourteen goals in the Liga Adelante, winning himself a place in Spain's squad under the orders of Javier Clemente.

What became of him? After hanging up his boots in German football, Christiansen started his career as a coach and he currently manages the Sesiones AFE team.

Did you know…? Despite belonging to FC Barcelona for four and a half seasons, Christiansen never played an official match with the azulgrana first team.
