The second Virtual LaLiga eSports Santander tournament kicked off on 3 December with a record number of participants. Over 4,000 players, including representatives for LaLiga Santander and LaLiga 1|2|3 clubs, took part in the first open tournament.
Out of all of them, only four could seal their place at the first face-to-face event, which is set to be held on 13 December in Barcelona and will play host to the semi-finals and final which will see the competition's first 'King of the Hill' crowned.
After seven rounds and a total of 2,032 matches, including some thrilling last-16 and quarter-final ties, the four players heading to Barcelona are Gravesen, carayolin (AD Alcorcon), JraLion10 and xgalloso_.
Zidane 10 (UD Las Palmas) and DanielAguilar4 (Alcorcon) deserve a mention for their performances as they reached the quarter-finals, while Getafe CF representative jzone34_eah made it through to the last 16.
