Villarreal CF have signed an agreement with Club Atlético de Madrid under which the goalkeeper Sergio Asenjo will join the Yellows until 2019. The keeper from Palencia, on loan from the Rojiblancos last season to the team managed by Marcelino García Toral, will be part of the new plans of the club chaired by Fernando Roig.
Asenjo, who knows Villarreal well, has played for the Castellón side on 35 occasions in the Liga BBVA, conceding 39 goals, making him the fifth meanest keeper in the division.
