Team News:

- Villarreal CF: Jonathan dos Santos, Roberto Soldado, Cedric Bakambu and Daniele Bonera (all injured).

Sevilla FC: Benoit Tremoulinas, Michael Krohn-Dehli and David Soria (all injured); Daniel Carriço (suspended).

Match Facts: Villarreal (14th, 1 pt)

- The Yellow Submarine certainly haven't made the best of starts to the season. Following on from their 1-1 draw in the first round of fixtures against Granada CF, the Castellon outfit bowed out of Europe's premier club competition after defeat to Monaco in the playoffs.

- Villarreal's first home outing of the LaLiga Santander campaign represents an ideal opportunity for them to get back on track. The Madrigal faithful will be hoping to have something to shout about in what promises to be a tough test against the Andalusians.

Sevilla (5th, 3 pts)

- Jorge Sampaoli's men got their season up and running with a 6-4 triumph over RCD Espanyol in what was a great advert for free-flowing football. On the back of that result, the Sevillians come into this one brimming with confidence and ready to put Villarreal to the sword.

- Everyone at the Sanchez Pizjuan is absolutely delighted with the immediate impact that the summer signings have made. Indeed, all of the goals against Espanyol were scored by new recruits, as Pablo Sarabia, Luciano Vietto (2), Franco Vazquez, Wissam Ben Yedder and Hiroshi Kiyotake all opened their accounts for the club.
