Villarreal CF, Athletic Club and RC Celta, the three LaLiga representatives in the 2016/2017 Europa League, today discovered their opponents in the group stage draw for Europe's second club competition held in Monaco.
Villarreal were drawn in Group L along with Steaua Bucuresti, Zurich and Osmanlispor. Meanwhile, Athletic will face Genk, Rapid Vienna and Sassuolo in Group F.
Finally, Celta are set to lock horns with Ajax, Standard Liege and Panathinaikos, as they seek to make it out of Group G.
The three LaLiga outfits will all be looking to follow in the footsteps of Sevilla FC - who lifted the trophy in each of the last three seasons - as they seek to maintain LaLiga's position at the summit of European football.
