Team News:

- Valencia CF: Matthew Ryan and Ezequiel Garay (injured).

- D. Alavés: Zouhair Feddal (injured).

Match Facts:

Valencia CF (20th, 0 pts):

-Despite sitting rock bottom and with no points yet on the board, Valencia CF have plenty of reasons for optimism going into their LaLiga clash with D. Alaves, having not lost one of their last six games against the Basque side.

-Strength in the air. Voro González’s side have scored three of their five goals to date from corners.

D. Alaves (11th, 6 pts):

-This will be a special match for Mauricio Pellegrino, who spent five seasons at Valencia as a player, before then coaching them in 2012.

Alaves have shown themselves to be both strong and consistent when on the road. They drew their opening league game at the Calderon, before beating the reigning LaLiga champions 2-1 at the Camp Nou. That strength and consistency will stand them in good stead for their trip to Mestalla. They have also only conceded two goals.
