Team News:

- Valencia CF:Eliaquim Mangala (suspended).

- RCD Espanyol:Diego Lopez, Javi Lopez, Leo Baptistao and Felipe Caicedo (injured); Pablo Piatti (clause in his contract).

Match Facts:

Valencia CF (17th, 13 pts):

-Without a win in their last eight games, and slipping ever closer to the relegation zone, Valencia will be looking to get back to winning ways in front of their fans.

-The statistics favour Voro's side and they will be hoping that continues against RCD Espanyol.

Valencia are undefeated in their last eight home games against Espanyol (7 wins and 1 draw), but only managed to keep a clean sheet in one of those fixtures.

RCD Espanyol (11th, 23 pts):

-A string of injuries will force Espanyol head coach Quique Sanchez Flores to shuffle his pack. Diego Lopez, Javi Lopez, Leo Baptistao, Felipe Caicedo will all sit out the game at Mestalla, whilst Victor Sanchez and Ruben Duarte remain doubtful. Former Valencia man, Pablo Piatti, will not play due to a clause in his contract.

-With only one defeat in their last 11 matches (4 wins and 6 draws), Espanyol are well placed in the table. Their last defeat was the 4-1 drubbing at the hands of FC Barcelonain December.
