Team News:
- FC Barcelona: Aleix Vidal, Arda Turan y Rafinha (injured).
- Sevilla FC: Rami, Tremoulinas, Carlos Fernández, Krohn-Delhi (injured).
Barcelona (2nd, 66 pts):
- The Catalans have chalked up two emphatic victories on the spin since being upset by RC Deportivo, the latest of which was a 4-1 rout away to Granada CF. Luis Enrique's charges' title tilt therefore remains very much on, with the champions hopeful of reeling in LaLiga Santander leaders Real Madrid. Los Blancos are just two points ahead, albeit with a game in hand.
- Barcelona took the spoils in the reverse fixture at the Sanchez-Pizjuan, triumphing 2-1 courtesy of goals from Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez.

Sevilla (4th, 58 pts):
- Jorge Sampaoli's side are stuck in a rut, having not won since 2 March, when they overcame Athletic Club 1-0. This slump has seen the Andalusians drop out of contention for the title and relinquish third place to Atletico Madrid.
- The last time Sevilla collected maximum points away from home was when they made the short trip across town to the Benito Villamarin at the end of February, putting rivals Real Betis to the sword 2-1 and claiming local bragging rights in the process.
