The UAE School & Street Cups tournaments now have their finalists. Both competitions are a part of the LaLiga and Du Football Champions project to promote the professional careers of young talents from the UAE. and whose director is Míchel Salgado, a Liga BBVA Ambassador. This joint event is the first youth tournament that offers young prospects from the region the chance to develop their potential and to start a professional career as a footballer at national and international levels.
Last Saturday, the two competitions hosted their semi-finals. Between them the tournaments, which started back on November 7th, have had 1,000 teams competing with an unprecedented number of youngsters signing up to join in.

The best eight teams from the UAE meet up in the final on March 19. The UAE Schools Cup involves boys teams from the Under 14 and Under 16 categories, and girls teams in the Under 17 category. The Lycee Francais International George Pompidou are finalists in the three categories. In Under 16s, The International School of Choueifat de Dubai will be their opponent. In the Under 14s, the Lycee Francais International will take on the Philadelphia Private School. In the last final, the Lycee Francais International George Pompidou girls team will play the Al Yasmina School.
In the UAE Streets Cup there are only teams from the Under 16s. Top Gunners and El Classico are the finalists.
The champions from the different categories have the chance to win a trip to train and study in Spain with all expenses paid, and where they will have the opportunity to compete against the best Spanish clubs in their age groups.
