Sevilla FC’s undefeated run at home will be put to the test by Real Madrid’s visit to the Estadio Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán. The Andalusian side, involved in the fight for the la UEFA Champions League places, host a visiting outfit who are looking to stay in the fight for the Liga BBVA title, and this game will be of vital importance for their title aspirations. The home side won this fixture last season, knocking the stuffing out of the side from the capital’s title aspirations in the process.

Team news

Sevilla are without Nico Pareja, Mariano Barbosa and Sebastián Cristóforo through injury, however they might welcome back midfielder Víctor Machín, who has missed the last two games. For the Whites, Luka Modrić and Karim Benzema are the notable absentees, however Gareth Bale could make a return.

View from the dugout

Sevilla coach Unai Emery spoke about how he hopes Saturday will be a big day for his side: "We have prepared the game knowing the opponents. We’ve seen videos and we are looking for a way to cause them problems. While we are still in with a shout of finishing fourth, we will continue to fight".

Carlo Ancelotti knows how difficult their opponents can be to face at home: "Sevilla are a strong side, we need to play very well to beat them. It will be an intense game because we want to win and Sevilla are very strong at home".
