The 2021 LaLiga Santander summer transfer window has drawn to a close with deals going through, as is customary, right up to the last second.

The 20 members of the top flight have drafted more than 110 players into their ranks. Some of them are familiar faces of the competition, such as Kiko Casilla, who returns to Spain on loan to Elche CF, and Rodrigo De Paul. Others, such as Matias Dituro and David Alaba, in contrast, have made their first appearances this 2021/22 campaign and got off to a great start at the elite level of Spanish football.

Deportivo Alaves are one of the teams to have registered the most players for this season: Toni Moya, Manu Garcia, Ivan Martin, Florian Lejeune, Facundo Pellistri, Mamadou Loum, Matthew Miazga, Miguel de la Fuente and Mamadou Sylla. They have all come in to reinforce Los Babazorros and attempt to improve on last term's sixteenth-place finish.

The recently promoted RCD Espanyol, on the back of a season battling it out in the second tier, have incorporated another eight players into their ranks for this campaign. Some of the names joining Vicente Moreno Peris's side are Miguel Llambrich, who arrives from Villarreal CF, Aleix Vidal from Sevilla and Loren Moron, who joins the Barcelona-based outfit after playing for Seville's other club, Real Betis.

The reigning LaLiga Santander champions, Atletico Madrid, have managed to strengthen their ranks with the addition of Marcos Paulo, Benjamin Lecomte, Matheus Cunha and Rodrigo De Paul. The latter has already made his debut for the side, pulling on the red-and-white jersey with the number 5 on his back, and he promises to be one of the big signings of this summer window.

International stars such as David Alaba, who joins Real Madrid; Memphis Depay, who comes in to bolster Los Azulgranas; Erik Lamela, who Julen Lopetegui has signed up; and Alexander Sorloth, Real Sociedad's latest addition, have joined LaLiga Santander bent on demonstrating their sublime skills and bringing their style of play to bear on achieving the objects set by their respective clubs. Athletic Club, meanwhile, have added Alexander Petxarroman to their squad.

We will also have the chance to continue enjoying some genuine stars such as Ante Budimir, who has made his loan deal with CA Osasuna permanent; Javi Galan, who leaves SD Huesca to shore up the RC Celta backline; Aïssa Mand, who joins Unai Emery's outfit after his spell at Betis; Angel Rodriguez, who leaves behind Getafe CF for RCD Mallorca; and Roberto Soldado, who will wear the colours of Levante UD this season.

The final day of the market has been a furious one, including notable signings such as the young Frenchman Eduardo Camavinga moving to Real Madrid, the incorporation of Yangel Herrera at Espanyol and Hector Bellerin's move to Betis. Furthermore, Sergio "Kun" Agüero has now been registered with FC Barcelona, while Betis have done the same with Willian Jose. In addition, Lucas Perez will don the Elche CF shirt, Florentino the blue of Getafe CF, Hugo Duro joins the Valencia CF squad, Ruben Sobrino moves to Cadiz CF, Javier Ontiveros to Osasuna, Sergi Guardiola will sport the red stripe of Rayo Vallecano, and Kang In Lee has landed at Mallorca. LaLiga Santander will continue to feature the centre-back Jeison Murillo, who has extended his loan to Celta, and Santiago Arias joins Granada CF.
