RC Deportivo and Athletic Club will bring to a close a football-packed Saturday when they face each other at the Riazor. The two sides will look to claim the three points at the start of this year after ending the last with a defeat. The Galicians, due to their position in the table, need the win most urgently in this encounter with the Basque side. Athletic have not beaten the Blanquiazules since 2010.
Team news
Manager Víctor Fernández will have all his men available for this clash with the exception of Lucas Pérez, who is still recovering from an injury. Meanwhile, Aritz Aduriz and Iker Muniain will be unavailable for the match through suspension.

Midfielder Álex Bergantiños was at the press conference and said to the media: "We have a very important match at home now, because then we face immediate rivals Levante UD. If we beat Athletic, we'll go into that match in a stronger position". Mikel Rico, the Athletic player, praised his opponents' qualities and revealed that the Basque side do not intend to give anything away at the Riazor.
