"This will be a hugely beneficial for tourist city like ours", stated the president of the region of Agadir, Mohamed El Mouden, during his welcoming speech at the presentation ceremony for the first official game of the La Liga World tour between Sevilla FC and Hassania D’Agadir.

The Hassania d’Agadir president, Habib Sidinou, spoke about "the excitement of playing against a Spanish club". Meanwhile, Amine Dor, the Moroccan club’s marketing director, referred to it as an "historic match", and explained "we have not played against a club of Sevilla FC’s stature in over 20 years". Amine Dor also pointed to "the importance of being able to learn from the organisational abilities of the Spanish La Liga".

Ramón Loarte, Sevilla FC’s marketing director, declared "we will be taking our best available squad in order to expand Sevilla FC’s profile internationally, as well as the club’s values of hard work, determination and bravery".

All those in attendance at the ceremony agreed upon the huge potential this sporting event will have for the city of Agadir on a financial, social and human level. The match will take place on 31 May in Le Grand Stade at 7pm local time (8pm CEST).

The Andalusians, who took part in the LFP World Challenge Tour last season in Indonesia and Malaysia when they took on Pelita Bandung Raya and Selangor FA, will become the first Spanish side to face a Moroccan side in the La Liga World tour.

The LFP World Challenge, which encapsulates the La Liga World tour as well as the game in Agadir on 31 May, is aimed at promoting Spanish professional football; spreading the values of the Spanish Brand and Spanish businesses; and generating new business and cultural opportunities worldwide.
