The most supportive stripe

"Do you still believe that nothing unites us?" The question was posed by Rayo Vallecano before the presention of their new gear. Their solidarity was a surprise to all.

The red and white stripes, accompanied by their President Raul Martin Presa, presented the shirts they will be wearing in the next LaLiga season. Their central theme is solidarity with those least priveledged sectors of society.

The first of the shirts will display the traditional white on red stripes, but the two following will support different causes. Far from showing off one single colour, the stripe on the second kit will also include a rainbow of seven colours, each one of which represents a cause: the fight against cancer, the fight to integrate disabled persons into society, one for those who never lose hope, for the fight to protect the environment, for those who fight against violence against children, for those who fight against domestic violence and one for those who fight to end discrimation against those of different sexual orientations.

"The rainbow flag is going to fight against homophobia. We will wear it proudly. You can also see a series of ribbons, each representing a cause", Raul Martin Presa affirmed that for each shirt sold seven euros will go to one of the seven organisations.

Breast cancer will be especially supported by the third shirt of the club's collection. The stripe will be pink and a pink ribbon will also be incorporated. "We want to take a stand and we want it to be right. We are a club which is very close to the people, it is something carried in the DNA of the club and its fans: they give their all and they fight for a fairer world".
