The Liga BBVA was the biggest winner at the FIFA Ballon d'Or prize giving ceremony held on Monday in Zurich (Switzerland).
The best championship in the world, the Liga BBVA, has six representatives in the 2013 FIFA/FIFPro World XI, the team of the year in European football that is selected by more than 50,000 professional footballers around the globe: Real Madrid CF players Sergio Ramos and Cristiano Ronaldo, and FC Barcelona players Dani Alves, Xavi Hernández, Andrés Iniesta and Lionel Messi were chosen as part of the prestigious eleven.
Footballers Manuel Neuer, Philipp Lahm and Franck Ribéry, of FC Bayern Munich, and Thiago Silva and Zlatan Ibrahimović, of Paris Saint-Germain, complete FIFA's all-star team, which is dominated by Liga BBVA players.
Before the final election, as many as 19 Liga BBVA opted to be part of the 2013 FIFA/FIFPro World XI:

Defenders: Jordi Alba (FC Barcelona), Daniel Alves (FC Barcelona), Gerard Piqué (FC Barcelona), Marcelo (Real Madrid CF), Pepe (Real Madrid CF), Sergio Ramos (Real Madrid CF), Raphaël Varane (Real Madrid CF)
