The leader starts the second half of the season in Gran Canaria

If the Liga BBVA would have finished just at the end of the first half, Atlético would be champion and Las Palmas would have achieved the stay in the top flight. That is the goal of both teams for the second round of the championship.

Team News:

UD Las Palmas: Bigas, Hernán, Javi Castellano and Angel (injured), David Simon (suspended).

Atlético de Madrid:  Tiago and Torres (injured)

Match Facts:

Las Palmas (16th, 18 pts):

- With the enthusiasm of the Copa del Rey, where Valencia CF will be their opponent in the quarterfinals, but with the mind set in Liga BBVA, where the leader visits the Estadio de Gran Canaria. Las Palmas starts the second half of the course at home and with a point above the relegation zone.

- Two wins and a draw is the balance of Quique Setién at home in the last three games. In the first round match at the Calderon, Griezmann scored the only goal of the game. This time, Tana is tipped to be the scorer of his team, after having put the ball in the back of the net in the last three matchdays.

Atlético Madrid (1st, 44 pts):

- Atlético start the second half of the season in the best way possible, from the top of the table. In total, fourteen wins, two draws and three defeats. And with just eight goals conceded, the fewest of the Liga BBVA. The streak began at the Calderon, against UD Las Palmas. And the Colchoneros want to repeat victory, this time in Gran Canaria.

- Griezmann already scored in Atletico’s first game of the season and comes to the game in a superb form. He has scored three goals in the last two games, two goals in the second leg of the Copa del Rey against Rayo Vallecano and another one in Liga BBVA against RC Celta.
