The tournament will start on the 12th of June with the tie between Brazil and Croatia, and will end on the 13th of July in Río de Janeiro.
This Friday Brazil was the venue for group stages draw of the 2014 FIFA World Cup, where the first fixtures for the tournament, which will start with the home nation's clash against Croatia on the 12th of June, were announced. For their part, Spain will make their first appearance on Friday the 13th of June at the Arena Fonte Nova de Salvador against Holland.
The semi-finals will be held in Belo Horizonte and São Paolo on the 8th and 9th of July, and the final will be later on the 13th of July at 21:00 in Río de Janeiro.
The groups are as follows:
GROUP A: Brazil (host nation), Croatia, Mexico, Cameroon
GROUP B: Spain, Holland, Chile, Australia
GROUP C: Colombia, Greece, Ivory Coast, Japan
GROUP D: Uruguay, Costa Rica, England, Italy
GROUP E: Switzerland, Ecuador, France, Honduras
GROUP F: Argentina, Bosnia Herzegovina, Iran, Nigeria
GROUP G: Germany, Portugal, Ghana, USA
GROUP H: Belgium, Algeria, Russia, South Korea
