CD Numancia 3-2 Bilbao Athletic

Numancia bounced back after three games without a win in a game that started well for the Basques. Asier Villalibre gave Bilbao Athletic a 6th-minute lead, only for Alex Alegria to equalise on the stroke of half-time. After the break, Numancia took control of the game with two goals from Julio Alvarez. Iker Guarrotxena pulled a goal back for Numancia with ten minutes left to go, but the three points stayed in Soria.

CD Mirandes 1-2 Elche CF

Elche pulled off an important win that keeps them in the chase for a play-off place. Things did not start well for Ruben Baraja and co. and it was Mirandes who opened the scoring through Gorka Kijera. That all changed in the second half, when Sergio Leon came to Elche's recue with two crucial goals on 57 and 64 minutes.

UD Almería 1-0 Girona FC

Almeria cling to their hope of avoiding relegation and are now undefeated in four games, with a record of two wins and two draws. Chuli set up Quique González on 16 minutes for the only goal of the game.

R. Zaragoza 1-0 Girona FC

Zaragoza's game against Albacete at La Romareda was not for the faint-hearted. The home side took the points thanks to a Jorge Pulido own goal in time added on. All praise went to young Sergio Gil, whose build up play led to the goal. Zaragoza are now undefeated in six games.

R. Oviedo 2-4 R. Valladolid CF

Juan Villar's star performance at the Carlos Tartiere keeps Valladolid's play-off dream alive. A hat-trick from the striker, plus another goal from Roger Marti, were enough to seal the points against a Real Oviedo side led by Mamadou Kone. The Ivorian scored twice for his team, but it was not enough to rein in Valladolid.

At. Osasuna 3-1 D. Alaves

Fans at El Sadar celebrated their win over their Basque rivals. Osasuna went behind to Raul Garcia's 18th-minute opener, but Enrique Martin and co. hit back with three goals before the break. Roberto Torres, from the penalty spot, Urko Vera and Nino scored for the home side.

SD Huesca 1-0 AD Alcorcon

After taking all three points against Valladolid last week, Huesca made it back-to-back victories with a 1-0 win over Alcorcon. A Jesus Valentin goal on the half-hour mark was enough to seal the points for the home side and move them three points clear of the relegation zone. Meanwhile, Alcorcon have now lost three games on the bounce and are falling away from the play-off places.

UE Llagostera 3-0 RCD Mallorca

Llagostera pulled off a comfortable win over Mallorca on Sunday and can still dream of escaping relegation despite being in the bottom four. Juanjo opened the scoring for the home side on 31 minutes. He also closed out the scoring in the second half, just minutes after Pitu had doubled their lead. The win leaves Llagostera five points from safety and dragged Mallorca into the drop zone.

Nastic 1-1 SD Ponferradina

Nastic and Ponferradina shared the points in an evenly-matched game at Tarragona's Nou Estadi. The Catalans were looking for a win to cement their challenge for a play-off place, but they went a goal down through a Xavi Molina own goal. Ponferradina tried to extend their lead, only for Nastic to equalise through Jose Naranjo. It was the Catalans' fourth straight draw and a win for Zaragoza sees them drop out of the top six. Meanwhile, Ponferradina lie two points above the relegation zone.

Cordoba CF 1-2 CD Lugo

Cordoba crashed to their fourth straight home defeat in the league after they were outplayed by a Lugo side that took the game by the scruff of the neck early on. Carlos Hernandez opened the scoring on 11 minutes, and Pablo Caballero doubled their lead on the half-hour mark. After the break, Florin Andone pulled one back for Cordoba but they failed to find an equaliser and are in danger of falling out of the play-off places. Back-to-back wins sees Lugo climb ever closer to the top six.

CD Leganes 0-1 CD Tenerife

The Canary Islanders did something that no other team had done previously this season: win away to Leganes. They did so courtesy of a sensational free-kick from Javi Lara. Despite the defeat, Leganes stay top of the table with a three-point lead over D. Alaves
