R. Oviedo 1-0 R. Valladolid CF
Toche's 15th-minute goal opened the scoring on a matchday packed with goals in LaLiga 1l2l3. His goal sealed the points for Oviedo against a Valladolid side that battled until the very end, but will now have to wait until next weekend for the points they need to climb into the play-off places.
SD Huesca 0-1 AD Alcorcon
David Navarro's goal at El Alcoraz gave Alcorcon some breathing space. The defender fired an 83rd-minute right-footed shot into the back of the net from a free kick to seal the points for the visitors. Huesca finished the game with 10 men after Carlos Akapo was sent off for a second bookable offence.
CD Lugo 2-3 Nastic
Lugo and Nastic served up an entertaining encounter for fans on Matchday 22 of LaLiga 1l2l3. Despite Joselu's brace for the Galicians, the Emana brothers once again proved decisive for Nastic. Stephane and Achille scored the three goals that won it for the Catalans.
CD Tenerife 2-0 Cordoba CF
Another win saw Tenerife consolidate their position in the play-off places. This time against a tough, hard-working mid-table Cordoba side. Second-half goals from Choco Lozano and Omar Perdomo sealed all three points for the Canary Islanders.
Rayo Vallecano 1-1 Elche CF
These two sides shared the spoils at Vallecas in a hard-fought encounter in which Ruben Baraja's charges struggled to get into their stride and ultimately ended up having to settle for a point. Indeed, it was the visitors who drew first blood when Guillermo Fernandez turned the ball home following a free-kick in the 38th minute. However, Miku converted a 73rd-minute spot-kick to rescue a point for the hosts.
UCAM Murcia CF 1-0 R. Zaragoza
UCAM narrowly edged past Zaragoza at La Condomina, a result which sees the bottom half of the LaLiga 1l2l3 standings become all the more congested. The Murcians dictated proceedings and enjoyed the lion's share of the chances, with Jose Collantes's right-footed strike from inside the area securing a much-needed victory to ease the hosts' relegation fears.
Levante UD 1-0 CD Numancia
The Valencians continue to sweep all before them and stay seven points clear at the summit after overcoming a Numancia side who had the upper hand, but couldn't capitalise on their dominance. Jason Remeseiro grabbed the only goal of the game with a close-range finish.
CF Reus 1-1 RCD Mallorca
After Jorge Miramon had missed from the spot early on for the hosts, Dejan Lekic gave Mallorca the lead on 17 minutes, springing the offside trap and drilling under the keeper's body. It looked like Natxo Gonzalez's charges were going to pay the ultimate penalty until Mayor popped up with a quarter of an hour to go, making the most of the referee playing advantage to pounce on a loose ball and lash into the bottom corner. The result means that the relegation-threatened visitors are now unbeaten in three, while Reus remain on the periphery of the playoff battle.
Girona FC 2-0 Sevilla Atletico
Heavy rain had raised the prospect of this encounter being called off, but both teams were eager for it to go ahead and so it did. In the end Sevilla At. will have been left ruing that decision after second-half goals from Samuele Longo (60') and Francisco Sandaza (70') – both headers, no surprise given the waterlogged playing surface – secured the spoils to keep Girona comfortably in second spot for another week.
Getafe CF 1-1 CD Mirandes
Jose Bordalas is still yet to taste defeat at the Coliseum, although Getafe will consider this very much a case of two points dropped against lowly opposition. Dani Pacheco smashed the home team in front after 15 minutes, but Alex Ortiz's deflected strike not long after the break made it level pegging and neither side managed to find a winner.
Cadiz CF 1-0 UD Almeria
They had to wait until late on and ride their luck a bit, but promotion-chasing Cadiz claimed three golden points courtesy of Aitor Garcia's sweetly struck curler in the 83rd minute, moving up to third place in the process. As for Almeria, their woes continue as they remain firmly in the drop zone after failing to win for the fourth matchday in a row.
