- The origins of Sevilla Atletico can be traced back to CD Puerto, a club founded in 1950 and which in 1958 would become Sevilla FC's top youth team.
- Sevilla Atletico's home strip consists of white shirts featuring a diagonal red stripe, with black shorts and socks.
- The club's badge is different to Sevilla FC's, and although their shapes are the same, Sevilla Atletico's features the city's famous Giralda tower on a white background with a red diagonal stripe.

- Sevilla Atletico will be the only youth team to grace the second tier in the 2016/2017 season.
- This will be the fourth time that the club has played at this level, after having competed in Segunda Division in 1962, 2007 and 2008.

— Sevilla FC (@SevillaFC_ENG) June 26, 2016 - Jesus Navas, Antonio Puerta, Jose Antonio Reyes and Diego Capel all began their careers at the club and later went on to be capped by Spain.
- Manolo Jimenez coached the side between 2000 and 2007, and prior to this latest promotion, he was the last coach to have led the club to the second tier. However, on that occasion, Jimenez subsequently left his post to take charge of first-team affairs after Juande Ramos was appointed head coach at Tottenham Hotspur.
- At the time Jimenez was promoted to the first team in the 2007/08 season, Sevilla Atletico were sitting in fourth spot in Segunda and they went on to record a credible 9th-place finish.
