Switzerland hosts Real Betis's second LaLiga World adventure

Real Betis are continuing their preparations for the new LaLiga Santander season through LaLiga World. Gustavo Poyet's side are in the Swiss city of Zurich where they will do battle with the Qatari national team in a friendly today.

The Betis party took off from Seville airport just after 17:00 and touched down in Zurich two-and-a-half hours later where Joaquin, Adan, Musonda and the rest of the players were welcomed by green meadows and a spring-like temperature.

The Andalusian outfit will be put through their paces in training in the morning before taking on Qatar as part of the LaLiga World programme at 17:30 at the Swissporarena in Lucerne. The 16,000 seater stadium will play host to a unique spectacle thanks to LaLiga World. Betis are stepping up their preparations for a gruelling league season by taking on a Qatar side focused on qualifying for the 2018 World Cup in Russia.

It will be the second time Betis and LaLiga World give each other a helping hand in expanding the LaLiga brand around the world. In late July, Betis flew to Germany to compete in the Dresden Cup which they ended up lifting, after beating Werder Bremen and Everton.
