Levante UD and Valencia CF meet on Saturday in the ninth chapter of the history of Valencian derbies. It is always thrilling derby and inevitably throws up a few interesting titbits. We take a look at some of the most intriguing trivia on the encounter between two neighbours and fierce rivals.

On the final matchday of the Liga BBVA Levante will visit Málaga CF, and Valencia CF host RC Celta de Vigo. Last year the ché finished fifth with 65 points, beating eleventh-placed Levante by 19.
DID YOU KNOW THAT... Sofiane Feghouli and Juanfran García have played in more Valencian derbies than any other player in the current squads?
Winger Feghouli, one of the stars of Juan Antonio Pizzi’s strike-force, has played seven derbies in the Comunidad Valenciana in the colours of the ché, making him Valencia’s most experienced player against their neighbours.
For Levante, it is Juanfran who has met the team from the Mestalla more than the rest. The Veteran defender has been pulling on a granota shirt for seven seasons (over two spells) and he is also one of a handful of players who have played for both sides.
DID YOU KNOW THAT... Four of the players taking part in the Valencian derby have played for both teams?
They are Juanfran, Javi Fuego, David Navarro and Míchel Herrero. Juanfran, who has this season become the granota's most capped player in the Liga BBVA, played for the ché between 1997 and 1999.
