Stadium attendance has increased in the 2013/14 season. This is what the figures say after round 23 in Liga BBVA and 25 in Liga Adelante. The increase is 3.03% for both leagues, which translates as a growth of 223,681 more spectators compared to last season. A total of 7,615,374 fans have attended matches in both Liga BBVA and Liga Adelante thus far, ahead of the 7,391,693 from this time last year, and 7,642,588 in 2011.
The numbers are maintained in Liga BBVA, where attendances have slightly fallen (by 0.47%), whereas Liga Adelante has seen a dramatic increase. The competitiveness and excitement in the championship is reflected in the stands and fans went en-masse to the last round of games. The increase is a whopping 15.17%, a statistic which shows the good health of Spanish football in this vibrant 2013/14 season both in Liga BBVA and Liga Adelante.
