Sporting's perseverance is good enough for a point

Córdoba CF and Real Sporting drew what was the most exciting match of matchday 12 of the Liga Adelante and was not over until the last minute.

The clash started with an intense midfield battle between two teams who have been highly impressive so far this season. Sporting, who were able to create more chances, bombarded Mikel Saizar's goal and the keeper had to dig deep to keep his opponents at bay. However, it was Córdoba that opened the scoring with a penalty from Carlos Caballero with 22 minutes on the clock.

After the restart, José Ramón Sandoval's men continued to shine, and were not shy of approaching the home team's goal, a tactic that allowed them to create a lot of danger in Saizar's area. Carlos Carmona found the equaliser, but Córdoba took the lead again after a header from Pedro Sánchez against which Iván Cuellar was helpless. But Sporting were not about to give up easily. Dejan Lekić made the most of a counterattack to level the match again, providing a thrilling end to an already-exciting match.
