Córdoba CF and Sporting Gijón will kick off Sunday’s Liga Adelante action for what promises to be a heated affair.
The Andalusian side, which in its last two matches has drawn one and won one, will travel with an almost fully fit squad, minus the absences of Benja and Iago Bouzón. Pablo Villa is well aware of the danger his side’s upcoming opponents pose, "they have a strong team, with a lot of quality players and a great history. They haven’t had the best of results lately but have played well", the Córdoba coach declared in his pre-match press conference.
José Ramón Sandoval, meanwhile, will be without Hugo Fraile for the clash because of suspension. "Córdoba is playing very nicely and has adapted well to the new manager. They look very solid at the back, but anything can happen during a match", he said ahead of the match.
