CD Feirense 2-0 R. Sporting

Abelardo Fernandez's men paid the penalty in their second friendly of the pre-season, a visit to the Estadio Municipal da Coutada in Arcos de Valdevez to take on Portuguese top-flight team Feirense.

In a game played in sizzling conditions, the Portuguese club eventually prevailed thanks to two second-half spot-kicks. Fabinho broke the deadlock from 12 yards in the 63rd minute and Platiny made it 2-0 to seal the victory with 10 minutes to go. To compound Sporting's woes, Burgui was forced off injured.

SD Eibar 0-1 Real Sociedad B

SD Eibar 0-1 Real Sociedad B

It was a similarly disappointing story for Eibar in their own second pre-season fixture. Having enjoyed a 1-0 success against Real Union three days ago, Jose Luis Mendilibar's troops wound up on the losing end of the same scoreline on this occasion, in a match held at their Atxabalpe training ground.

Eibar poured forward in search of an opener in the first half, but right on the stroke of half-time the referee awarded Real Sociedad B a penalty, which was duly converted. After the restart, summer signing Bebe toiled away in search of an equaliser, but La Real's second string held firm to claim victory.

Toulouse FC 2-0 At. Osasuna

Osasuna also came off second best in their first pre-season outing against Toulouse in the French city of Hendaye. The Ligue 1 outfit got their noses in front very early on courtesy of a Martin Braithwaite strike and had the chances to build upon their lead in the ensuing minutes, but the Pamplona-based outfit weathered the storm and began to fashion some openings of their own.

However, with 32 minutes on the clock it was Toulouse's Wissam Ben Yedder who hit a killer second to leave Osasuna with a mountain to climb. Whilst Enrique Martin's charges had opportunities to reduce the deficit towards the end of the game, the 1,100 inside the Stade Ondarraitz went away having seen Toulouse secure a 2-0 win.
