Team News:
- R. Sporting: Lillo (injured)
- Real Betis: Antonio Sanabria (injured); Antonio Adan (suspended)
Sporting (18th, 30 pts):
- Although winning successive games for the first time this season has not been enough to keep them up, the Asturians remain hungry to make it a hat-trick of victories in order to go out with a bang. The last time that they strung together three LaLiga Santander wins on the spin was in March-April 2011, under the late Manolo Preciado.
- The last two LaLiga meetings between Sporting and Betis finished all square, but the clubs have never drawn with one another three times in a row in the top flight.
Betis (15th, 38 pts):
- Dani Ceballos is the man of the hour amongst the Andalusians' ranks. The home-grown midfield starlet was on the scoresheet last matchday against Atletico Madrid, meaning he has now netted twice in his last five appearances, having gone goalless in his previous 59 league outings.
- One of Betis's standout defenders this term, German Pezzella, spoke in the run-up to his team's trip to El Molinon and stressed that, "Unity at the club is vital in order for the results to come."
